introduction:

This course aims to help health care providers (hospitals, clinics and medical centers) and users of information technology for medical purposes in the change management process while engaging in electronic health records. Change management is considered as a basic foundation upon which all stages of the life cycle of work in the electronic health records and help achieve meaningful use of the records and in transforming practice. Work life cycle in the electronic health records shows stages that the medical institution traveled through the successful application of records. You must integrate strategies and principles of change management at all stages of the application process. This course combines change management strategies and proposed principles by John Cotter, one of the leading experts in the institutional change using the organization's approach to change management planning.

The course consists of the following parts:

First part: Presents the basic principles of change management and illustrates the importance of effective management of any change in the success of both the practical application of electronic health records and other initiatives to transform practices.

Second part: Provides more details about the application of the principles of Cotter in conditions that are based on a special type of management and organizational changes, which are those commonly found in medical institutions at the present time. The research focuses on the ways in which they can help administrators and leaders of medical institutions in improving the use of medical information technology to push their medical institutions in the direction of desirable future put.
